Solar Panel Installation
MCS-certified solar PV installs across the South East.
From £5,950 fitted
A professionally installed solar PV system is the single most effective way for a South East homeowner to cut their long-term electricity bill. Our network of MCS-accredited installers designs systems to your roof, your consumption pattern and your budget — never a one-size-fits-all template.
What's included in our solar installation
Every install includes a structural roof check, scaffolding, MCS-listed panels, an MCS-listed string or hybrid inverter, full DC and AC wiring, DNO notification, MCS certificate, your IET electrical certificate, RECC consumer code protection, and a typical 12-year workmanship warranty alongside 25-30 year panel performance warranties.
How sizing works
We size your system to match your daytime consumption baseline plus the proportion of evening/peak use that a battery (if specified) can shift. Most South East homes land on a 4-8 kWp system; larger detached properties often benefit from 8-12 kWp.
Roof types we install on
Concrete tile, clay tile, slate, profiled metal, flat (ballasted), in-roof integrated, ground-mount, and barn / outbuilding placements are all routine. Solar slates and full-roof integrated systems are available where aesthetics matter.
Installation timeline
From signed contract to commissioning is typically 4-8 weeks. Scaffolding goes up 1-2 days before the install. Roof work runs 1-2 days. Inverter, battery and commissioning take a further day.
Smart features
We standardise on smart inverters with consumption monitoring (SolarEdge, Fronius, GivEnergy, Solis, Fox ESS). Every install ships with an app for live and historical generation, consumption and export data.

FAQs
What people ask
How long does a solar install take?
1-2 days on the roof for a standard home, plus a day for the inverter and commissioning. Scaffolding usually arrives a day or two beforehand and stays for the duration.
Do I need planning permission?
For most homes, no — solar PV is permitted development. You will need consent in conservation areas, on listed buildings, and for very large arrays. We handle the paperwork either way.
What warranties do I get?
Typically 25-30 years on panel performance, 12-15 years on panel product, 10-12 years on inverters (extendable), 10-15 years on batteries, and 12 years on workmanship via the MCS / RECC consumer protection scheme.
